| Taking
Liberties with Art History
I love making copies of master works. However, I donít like making
verbatim copies. I have taken liberties. Picasso in Hell is a special
case. It is a "copy" of a painting by Delacroix titled Dante
and Virgil in Hell. I thought that theirs would be a fascinating trip
and I wondered who they might meet there. Given my predilection for painters,
I thought they would quite naturally meet up with Picasso.
